Oat Valley Baptist Church began under the name Faith Baptist Church on the 15th of May in 1957. The name was changed March 1 in 1974 when the church moved to 31000 Cooley Lane. The Pastor who led this change was Rev. Don Hieter. He was pastor for 28 years and is responsible for most of the building. Being a talented and dedicated builder Brother Hieter saw a beautiful sanctuary being used for the Lord on two acres near the scenic vineyards of Oat Valley. Pastor Roger Margerison has been the pastor since 1989.
The Church is an Independent, Fundamental, and Baptist Church. If you are looking for a church that has not changed her doctrine to fit the politically correct climate of today, this church may be the one for you.
