Global news can be confusing and needs to be looked at with care. Without factoring the Lord’s into the framework of the world there is no sense or order. This then is the problem with “Network News”. The talking heads of the media have only a partial understanding of the world. They have missed the real picture. Their “spin” on the news is much like a policeman looking at the beaten and bruised body of a victim of robbery and saying, “The problem is you need to go to the doctor.” The policeman missed the cause of the bruises, a criminal.
Let us look at today’s headlines (March 30, 2010):
• Police find 4 decapitated bodies in central Mexico
• Putin talks tough after Moscow subway bombings
• Afghan president wraps up talks with insurgents
Three different countries that seem to have three different problems.
1. Mexico is in a dire war against the drug lords who are trying to control the country. The courage of the Mexican police is commendable.
2. Russian leader Putin is alarmed after Muslim thugs killed innocent civilians in a suicide attack. His response needs to be hard and fast and the blame needs to be placed upon the teachers of this kind of violence, the Imams.
3. The Afghan president Karzai is in dialog with the Taliban. He is trying to bring peace to his wounded country. The Taliban believe compromise is sin and worthy of death but it is okay to lie to the infidels (anyone who is not them) as the Koran teaches.
It would seem there are three different problems. Yes, Islam is at the forefront of the Moscow and Afghanistan issue but really the cause is the same for all three. Satan desires to destabilize Mexico and drugs are a favorite toy of his principalities.
Satan is also at the base of the other two problems. Islam is his #1 religion. It teaches immorality, slavery, murder, and rebellion. A stable region is unsatisfactory for the chief liar and murderer of history.
Understanding this, is a key in knowing how to fight it. An all out war against the lords of drugs in Mexico is the same conflict as fighting the fanatics of Islam. It is a war that has lasted from the Garden until now. It is a war that will last until the Great White Throne Judgment. It is a war that will be won by the God of Creation and lost by the god of this world.
This is the best way to look at Global news.
